Senior Music
We are proud to have one of the largest and most vibrant school music departments in the country, with fourteen specialist visiting teachers offering an exceptional range of instrumental, vocal and theoretical tuition.
Our purpose-built Music School is a hub of creativity and talent, equipped with outstanding facilities including a Steinway Concert Grand, a magnificent Mander Pipe Organ and a suite of Yamaha keyboards.
Our world‑class facilities support a dynamic and diverse programme of ensembles, performances, and musical opportunities, giving pupils the chance to experience an exciting range of styles and settings. Pupils perform in assemblies, concerts, Mass, Carol Services, and high‑profile events such as the O2 and Cranmore Live workshops, as well as, more recently, in performances abroad in Paris.
We also take great pride in our participation in local music festivals; most notably, our Senior Chamber Choir recently won the U17 School Choirs class at the Woking Music Festival. We are immensely proud that, in recent years, twelve pupils have gone on to achieve Grade 8, with several attaining the exceptional accolade of Distinction.
At Cranmore, every pupil can shine in Music. Whether they are lifting their voices in one of our choirs, experimenting in music technology club, or being inspired by live performances, we nurture confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of music.
