Significant long-term investment has endowed Cranmore and St Teresa’s with a broad range of high-quality sports facilities, with tennis one of the main beneficiaries.
ESTA headquarters is based at St Teresa’s in its own separate building, a former locker room which has undergone a complete transformation to become a spacious, bright, modern clubhouse with changing rooms, equipped as necessary to function effectively as a proper training facility.
Three hard courts sit adjacent to ESTA ‘HQ’ in a truly delightful position on the edge of the school campus, bordered on two sides by a picturesque backdrop of attractive and colourful trees. The proximity to HQ provides excellent and efficient transition between practical and theoretical tuition, and facilitates discrete monitoring.
Directly opposite the school’s main Reception, a large, all-weather surface provides additional space for team practice and fitness activities.
At Cranmore there are four brand new artificial courts which are used for tennis sessions during the summer term. The opportunity to play on both artificial and hard courts provides our students with valuable experience in understanding how they, and the ball, perform on different surfaces.
ESTA will be running weekly coaching programmes to dovetail with school term dates, specifically tailored to suit children in the following categories:
ESTA Red (age 8 and under); ESTA Orange (age 9 and under);
ESTA Green (age 10, 11 and under); ESTA Yellow (age 11 and over);
ESTA Invitational Performance Squads (age 11 and over).
ESTA offers a number of opportunities for players to gain match play experience in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. We host LTA match play events throughout the year and participate in the Play Your Way To Wimbledon event during the summer. ESTA hosts its annual internal match play event and BBQ at the beginning
of each academic year. Cranmore and St Teresa’s also enter pupils into tennis leagues during the summer term.
Additionally, we run non-residential Holiday Camps during school holidays which are open to children in Years 2 and above subject to availability.
We also offer ladies’ group coaching, with sessions which tie-in with school drop off times, and a men’s intermediate/advanced group. Individual lessons for children and adults are available upon request.
Scholarships are available (subject to availability) to those children who demonstrate exceptional potential.
